Update on BSLC Activities
Dear Beautiful Savior community,
This morning, March 14, the Church Council and various board chairs met to address the current situation related with the COVID-19 virus.
Tomorrow’s Worship Service will be held
Worship services will be held as usual tomorrow, March 15. Holy Communion will be celebrated with individual cups only. There will be no education hour.
Future Events are cancelled temporarily
After tomorrow’s service, all further worship services (Sundays and Wednesdays) will be cancelled until Palm Sunday (April 5). After this coming week, there will be no meetings or activities in the Church Building until April 24. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation, including further directions from federal, state, and local governments.
Worship Services Online
We are looking into ways of making worship services available through electronic media during the shut-down and in the days following. We are also exploring ways of facilitating online given to the church.
Keep in Touch
The Board of Elders will play a crucial role in communicating with the members of each Elders group as to changes and updates, and care of members. Please don’t hesitate to contact your Elder with any needs or concerns, and let them know if you are available to volunteer for helping those who might need assistance during the shut down.
ELC and Childcare will be open
The governor has exempted Early Learning Centers and Childcare programs from being closed at this time. The decision was made to keep our ELC and Childcare programs running until the situation changes. Kindergarten will be closed per governor’s order. The ELC director and leaders will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and communicate to families any changes that occur.
All of this is an effort to show compassion to and care for those who are at risk. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to call the Pastor, your Elder, or the church office.

May the Lord be with you in these days of challenge and opportunity,
Pastor Langdon Reinke
